SHAR PEI PENDANT LIGHTS, 2013. PHOTOS BY TERZANI

This collection of lamps is inspired by the soft folds that characterise the unmistakable coat of  Shar Pei dogs. The optical refractive properties of the crystal are in fact enhanced by the sophisticated drapery along the luminous bodies, which project an echo of reflections and shadows in the surrounding environment. Each lamp is handmade and each shape is different from the other. The production recovers the traditional crystal-making technique and brings it up to date through a contemporary decorative language.
